Raw news footage originally shot by staff of the Baltimore, Maryland station WMAR-TV (Channel 2), dating to April 5-8, 1968.

6. Coretta Scott King “at the time of the assassination of JFK, I remember feeling, experiencing a feeling of complete despair. I just didn’t see what would happen, how we would be able to continue to in the way that we had been going, making progress. But this feeling didn’t last too long, matter of fact it was only a few hours, because somehow I had the ability to tell myself that everything that happens no matter how bad it is has a purpose, and there must be something good that can come out of the worst evil…I told myself that the death of the president, horrible as it is, there must be some good that can come out of it, and I just felt this and believe that somehow there would be another person who could lead this nation on (cut)”
